Logitech, the world's leading maker of computer mice, announced the Logitech® MX™510 Performance Optical Mouse, Logitech's most powerful computer mouse ever.
The ideal mouse for gamers and power users, the MX510 mouse captures 5.8 megapixels of surface detail per second, delivers an improved 12-bit data path, and supports an acceleration of up to 15 g. The result is Logitech's fastest, smoothest, most accurate and most responsive mouse to date.

The MX510 mouse has a striking new look. With the same shape and design as its siblings in the MX family, the MX510 is coated with a reflective, holographic finish that is unique among computer peripherals. In fact, each MX510 has a finish that is completely unique - no two mice are identical. The MX510 mouse will initially be available in red in the U.S. and blue in Europe.
Logitech also has specifically designed Version 9.8 of Logitech® MouseWare® software for the MX510, giving users a broader range of options for customizing their mouse performance. For example, gamers can set up their mouse so that games use the operating system's acceleration while other applications use the MouseWare acceleration capabilities. MouseWare also gives users the ability to assign keyboard commands within various applications and games.
Like other Logitech MX-family mice, the MX510 has eight programmable buttons, including Internet forward and back buttons that are within easy reach of the thumb. The Quick Switch™ Program Selector button is located on top of the mouse, allowing the user to easily jump between open applications. Logitech's proprietary Cruise Control™ scrolling system provides users with the ability to rapidly scroll through large Web pages and long documents by holding the buttons above and below the scroll wheel.
Pricing and Availability
The Logitech MX510 Performance Optical Mouse is now available in the U.S. and Europe, and available online at www.logitech.com. Its suggested retail price in the U.S. is $49.95. It will also be available in Japan and other Asian countries in April.
